IBEF is association of associations and groups together :

- Full Members :

National associations of bitumen emulsion producers or manufacturing companies in countries without a national association member of IBEF.

- Associate members :

Suppliers of equipments and raw materials, users of bitumen emulsions and other professionals engaged in a business related to the production or use of bitumen emulsion.

The objectives

- Promoting the use of bitumen emulsion.

- Exchanging information related to :

• the developments of bitumen emulsion applications
• standardisation
• safety
• promotional means
• production statistics...

- In essence IBEF is an international vehicle for information and technology exchange related to
  bitumen emulsion.

- To organize and sponsor periodically :

• conventions dedicated to bitumen emulsions.
• every second year.
  • a world symposium of bitumen emulsion manufacturers
  • or an international symposium on asphalt emulsion technology.

Organisation

- The general meeting of members is held every year:

• It approves the appointment of the permanent members of the board of directors. These permanent members are the delegates of the founding member associations and those of associations producing more than 100 000 T of emulsion per year.
• The general assembly also elects non permanent directors making up one third of the board.

- The Chairman is elected for two years renewable once.

- The headquarters of IBEF are located at the registered office of the Union des Syndicats de l'Industrie

- Administrative offices can be moved temporarily to the country of the current chairman of IBEF.

Executive committee
