The Road Emulsion Association Limited (REA) is a UK trade association representing manufacturing companies supplying a wide range of bitumen emulsion products used in the highways, aerodromes and construction sectors.

Our goal is to provide a good network of information to members to understand the issues on the agenda of policy makers and businesses, as well as those that are important for policy development in central and local governments. We try to identify the effects of policy measures on our sectors and contribute to government consultations.

This association has in-depth knowledge of our sector and we believe that professional associations can form effective partnerships with government and academic organizations to fill mutual gaps in understanding.

Our representations to the government on policy issues draw on the best evidence available from our members to help us assess the practicalities and costs of the costs and benefits of policy proposals.

As a result, we frequently work with other professional associations to establish excellent communication links with prescribers, standards bodies and public authorities.
